Day 59: Eclipse

It was -21oC last night, and I stood around with the girl and a good, good friend, taking pictures for over an hour. While I didn’t get quite the shots I was hoping, I’m still pretty happy with ’em.

Hardware was a little different than usual. I borrowed an old Nikon 200mm f/4.5 manual lens, and paired it with my Sankyo-Komura 2x-3x tele-converter. Along with the 1.5x I get with the sensor size of the D70s, it works out to about a 900mm zoom, or somewhere around 50x magnification. That’s a LOT of zoom.
