Day 140: 1956 Corvette

When it comes to classic cars, there’s few that are as iconic as the 1956 Chevrolet Corvette. Otter drives one in “Animal House”. They’ve been featured regularly in “The SImpsons”, “Night at the Roxbury”, and a multitude of other films. Kim Novak was famously photographed behind the wheel of her then-new 1956. Probably, there have been more songs sung about the Corvette than any other car.

This one belongs to a friend of my parents. They’ve had it since new in ’56, and it is all original, including the paint. That’s right. That’s a fifty year old car that’s never been repainted. They use it as a ‘run around’ car now, and I shudder to think what it’s worth.
