Day 26: Ice Flows

You’d think that a huge sheet of ice, sheered off and making it’s way down the river, would be more dramatic, but it’s not.

It is, however, inexorable.

It hit the shore-ice ten seconds after I took this, pushed under, lifted, and tore a piece out of the ice at the side. And just kept going down stream. I don’t know how much that chunk of ice weighs, but it’s a lot.
